Sudurpaschim Province records 489 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

DHANGADHI: With 489 new cases on Friday, the COVID-19 tally in Sudurpaschim Province has reached 3,535.

With the cases, Sudurpaschim stands third in terms of coronavirus case numbers in the country.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the swabs tested in the National Public Health Laboratory Kathmandu, Patan Hospital Laboratory, TU Teaching Hospital Laboratory, and Dhangadhi Laboratory came out with 489 COVID-19 cases of the province, the highest single-day spike in the province.

The Ministry said that that 147 cases in National Public Laboratory, 49 in TU Teaching Hospital Laboratory, 207 in Patan Hospital Laboratory and 39 in Dhangadhi Laboratory tested coronavirus positive on Friday.

Sudurpaschim has seen 7 death tolls from coronavirus till Friday.

A total of 680 people have been discharged after recovery in the province.
