Deuba shouts at NSU leaders

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Friday come down heavily on the Nepal Student Union leaders alleging them of limiting themselves in speeches.

At a program organized by the NSU on the occasion of the birth anniversary of late Girija Prasad Koirala in Kathmandu today, rebuffed NSU leaders for organizing a program during coronavirus pandemic and at a time when people needed to maintain physical distance.

“How could you do this?” he shouted, adding, “Don’t you know that you cannot sit together like this during pandemic?”

He asked the NSU leaders not to organize any programs in future.

Saying that his political career began from the student’s movement as a NSU member to become the country’s Prime Minister for four times, NC President Deuba said, “Can you become like me? You need to be ashamed of yourselves.”
