Local level representative arrested on charge of misbehavior



KANCHANPUR: Police have arrested Chairman of Bhimdatta municipality-9, Ram Nath on charge of misbehaving with a woman.

Police held him after locals accused him of misbehaving with a woman at the local Brahmadev market last night.

Nath was reportedly drunk at that time.

Police sent him to the District Police Office on Thursday very night for further action.

Deputy Superintendent of the District Police Office, Amar Thapa, said that Ram Nath has been taken under control after police received the information that he misbehaved with a woman.

Locals said Nath misbehaved used abusive words against her at Brahmadev market, Bhimdatta municipality-9.

The area had become tense after the incident as agitated locals picketed the border police station at Brahmadev, calling for action against Ram Nath.
