6 COVID-19 patients discharged from BPKIHS after recovery

DHARAN: Six people have been discharged from the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) after recovery on Thursday evening.

According to Dr. Nidesh Sapkota, the Spokesperson at the BPKIHS, six people, including 4 females and 2 males, were discharged from the institute as they tested negative for COVID-19.

The discharged ones between 5-42 of age were admitted in the COVID-19 hospital set up in the BPKIHS on June 22.

With this, as many as 191 people are discharged after recovery from the BPKIHS so far.

“With 16 new cases admitted in last 24 hours, there are 44 cases undergoing treatment in the hospital,” Dr. Sapkota said.

BPKIHS has collected throat swab of around 9,591 people till date out of which 239 are found COVID-19 positive whereas 9,352 have tested negative.

The hospital has informed that 208 PCR results are yet to come.
