Coronavirus infection rate increases in Sudurpaschim State



DHANDAGHI: The tally of coronavirus infection cases in the Sudurpaschim State has rose to 2,933.

Kailali of the State witnessed 138 new cases of coronavirus on Thursday totaling 874 infected in the district.

With this, Kailali district has appeared as a zone with the highest cases of coronavirus infection.

In-charge of Health Division of Ministry of Social Development Narendra Singh Karki said Kanchanpur has 351 corona-infected persons, Doti (373), Dadeldhura (230), Bajura (337), Baitadi (236), Bajhang (127), Achham (288) and Darchula (17) as of Thursday.

As many as 323 people had tested positive for the deadly virus in Sudurpaschim State in a day based on the swab sample tests carried out in the National Public Health Laboratory, Seti State Hospital and Bir Hospital.

So far six persons have lost their lives to COVID-19 in the State. The infection rate has abruptly increased in the State of late.
