Imports thru Rasuwagadhi checkpoint to begin from Monday



RASUWA: The imports through Rasuwagadhi checkpoint is starting from Monday. The process of import started from Thursday even though an agreement had reached between Nepal and China a week ago.

All the processes including check pass and loading of goods will complete and Chinese cargo trucks loaded with goods will arrive at Rasuwa border checkpoint by Monday, said Custom Officer of Rasuwa Checkpoint Punya Bikram Khadka.

The border checkpoint had been closed to stem coronavirus since January 28.

The two countries agreed to open the border checkpoint ensuring safety measures to control the coronavirus spread.

In the first phase, Nepali side is sending  15 drivers and 15 workers.
