KATHMANDU: A Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) plane is bringing some 20 tons of medical equipment from China on Thursday night.

The plane left for Guangzhou at 11: 26 am this morning.

The Kathmandu-based Flash Freight Logistics chartered the NAC flight to bring equipment for around 50 parties including Shankar Group, CG Foundation, Norvic Hospital, among other companies.

The freight will include personal protective equipment (PPE), masks, gloves, medical kits, thermometers, and ventilators, sources have said.

It should be noted that a company named Omni Group had on Sunday brought medical equipment from China. However, the government unilaterally annulled the contract with the company saying that Omni failed to bring quality equipment.
