There is no alternative to elections: Chair Rabi Lamichhane

NARAYANGADH: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane has said that there is no alternative to elections in the current situation.

Addressing party cadres and well-wishers at Chaubiskothi in Bharatpur, Chitwan, after his release from prison, Lamichhane said the aspirations shown by the Gen-Z movement can only be fulfilled through elections. He reaffirmed his commitment to stand firmly for addressing the demands of the new generation and ensuring the completion of elections.

“Let the government formed on the strength of the Gen-Z movement show the courage and capacity to fulfill their dreams before the elections,”

Lamichhane said. “RSP will always stand with the government in fulfilling Gen-Z demands and holding elections.”

He stressed that the government must take a firm stand on good governance.
“I have no personal demands,” Lamichhane said. “The government must remain steadfast in fulfilling what Gen-Z sacrificed for. We will support that effort. The state must leave no stone unturned regarding the blood shed by the youth for good governance and the dreams of their families.”

Stating that the country is facing a complex situation, Lamichhane urged everyone to act with restraint, warning that impulsive or provocative actions would yield nothing. He reiterated that he does not believe in retaliatory politics and remains committed to democracy and responsible leadership.
