NCP forms three-member committee for ‘consensus’ on MCC



KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) on Sunday constituted a three-member committee to study, collect feedback, and submit a report with recommendations on the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) to the party Secretariat within 10 days.

The three-member committee, headed by party senior leader Jhalanath Khanal, standing committee members Bhim Rawal and Minister Pradeep Gyawali, has been entrusted to come up with necessary suggestions on the basis of consensus to ensure the party to form an official stance on the MCC, Prime Minister K P Oli’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa said.

The committee will initiate its work to end the differences within the party on the issue.

The decision to this effect was made after the central committee members were divided on the issue.
