Two die in Kathmandu road accidents



KATHMANDU: Two persons died in separate road accidents in the Valley on Saturday.

According to police, Sailesh Basnet of Kirtipur was killed after the motorcycle he was driving, Ba 66 Pa 4490, collided with the tipper, Ba 4 Kha 3669.

Basnet was seriously injured in the mishap and breathed his last at the Balkhu-based Vayodha Hospital.

Likewise, a scooter rider was killed in a road mishap in Nagarjun-1, Raniban.

Lila Ghale, 48, of Dhading died on the spot after the scooter, Ba 85 Pa 1493, she was riding was hit by the bus, Ba 1 Kha 6645.

Ghale’s daughter Pramila has been injured in the mishap and is being treated at Manmohan Hospital, police said.
