KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel has been arrested.
Police took Poudel under control alleging him of defying the prohibitory orders in Tanahun.
Chief District Officer Sagar Acharya said Poudel was taken under control as he broke the security cordon.
Police arrested Poudel from Buldi Khola Bridge that was constructed by Byas Municipality.
He had reached the area to inaugurate the bridge organized by the party’s local level committee.
According to him, they had to take Poudel under control to maintain security situation as some elements seemed to infiltrate.
