NC leader Mahat calls for convening of Parliament session



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress joint general secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has called for immediately convening the special session of the parliament.

He argued that the parliament which is the main forum for voicing the people’s problems and making the government accountable should not be kept in recess for long.

Leader Mahat said this while addressing a press conference organized by Nepal Press Union Parsa chapter in Birgunj today.

He stressed that the government should call the special session of parliament to answer a host of questions against it that have been raised within the country.

The NC leader also shared that the party was compelled and preparing to take to the street against the government, saying questions have been raised against the government regarding its lack of performance in the prevention and control of coronavirus pandemic and the treatment of the patients.

He added that people were facing much difficulty due to the mismanagement of the government. RSS
