70 people flee quarantine in Salyan



SALYAN: A total of 70 people staying in a quarantine center in the district have escaped after their COVID-19 reports didn’t arrive even one month after living in quarantine.

The people living in the quarantine of Ward No. 3 of Bangad Kupinde Municipality in Salyan fled by pelting stones at police deployed for security of the quarantine.

They had been living in quarantine since June 3. After staying for 17 days in quarantine, their swab samples were collected and sent to Surkhet.

As the PCR machine of Surkhet broke down, the samples have been sent to Nepalgunj test.
