Prorogation of House session leads to catastrophe: Gagan Thapa



KATHMANDU: Leader of main opposition Nepali Congress, Gagan Thapa has denounced the prorogation of the parliament’s budget session labeling it a ‘catastrophe’ in the parliamentary system.

After the end of the ongoing budget session of the parliament, leader Thapa took to Twitter saying: “The current session of the federal parliament has ended abruptly! This will only lead to unfortunate circumstances.”

He claimed that while many bills were on the agenda and in the process in the parliament, the abrupt decision of prorogation of the parliament has been an unwise step.

Thapa also warned against bringing any ordinances by deceiving the parliament.
