End of Parliament session regrettable: NC

KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has condemned the ending of the budget session of Parliament terming the government’s decision unnatural and regrettable.

Stating that the parliamentary session was prorogued due to internal disputes of the ruling party, NC Chief Whip Bal Krishna Khand said, “The internal rift in the ruling party should be managed by the leaders of the same party. The prime minister obstructed the House due to conflict in his party. It is unfair and in a sense a violation of parliamentary values.”

He said that the decision to end the current session was regrettable as NC was raising issues related to the people in the federal house and motions of public interests were registered in Parliament.

NC Chief Whip Khand said that the government’s decision to end the session of the House would be discussed in the ongoing Central Working Committee meeting of the party.
