Sexagenarian happy to see Nainapur illuminated

BANKE: Sixty-year-old Sabir Khan’s happiness knew no bounds when his village was illuminated with electricity.

His hope to see his village Suiya of Nainapur rural municipality illuminated was dying down when the electric poles set up in 2051 BS had already fallen down.

With the availability of electricity, he is now planning to install a pump-set to pump water to irrigate his four bighas of land.

He had solar panel lamps previously which could not help him operate a fan even during the searing heat.

Similarly, 65-year-old Ahmed Darji of Nainapur-1 used to feel sad when he saw Indian villages bordering with Nepal alight with electricity.

There are no industries in Nainapur-1 due to lack of power. Locals have to go to India for jobs.
As many as 100 electric poles have been set up in Nainapur.
