Rupandehi COVID-19 patient had entered Nepal during lockdown



BUTWAL: COVID-19 has been confirmed for the first time in Rupandehi district on Friday.

The 25-year-old youth confirmed to be infected with coronavirus had sneaked into Nepal from India during the lockdown in the second week of April.

The youth was staying at in a quarantine center in Kothimai.

His throat swab sample was tested at the Kathmandu-based National Public Health Laboratory.

The youth has been shifted to Corona Special Hospital in Butwal, hospital’s Spokesperson Dr. Bishnu Gautam said.
