Sanitization tunnel established at Nagdhunga



KATHMANDU: A disinfection tunnel has been established at Nagdhunga, the entrance to the country’s capital, Kathmandu.

Sundar Yatayat, a transport company operating electric vehicles in Kathmandu, has initiated the establishment of the tunnel after getting permission from the government.

The tunnel has come into operation from Friday. The tunnel aims to free vehicles entering Kathmandu from coronavirus by spraying them with sodium hypochlorite, according to Chairperson of the Yatayat, Bhesh Bahadur Thapa.

A tank with storing capacity of 6,000 litres sodium hypochlorite has been set up, he stated.
