Number of COVID-19 infected Nepalis climbs to 157 in Bahrain



KATHMANDU: The number of Nepali migrant workers infected with Coronavirus in Bahrain has reached 157.

The Nepali Embassy in Manama said additional 31 Nepali migrant workers have been infected this week.

Earlier, the Embassy had reported that 126 Nepali workers were infected by the deadly virus.

The Bahraini government authorities informed Nepali Ambassador to Bahrain, Padam Sundas that the Nepali migrant workers will be shifted to a safer place where health workers will treat them.

According to the Embassy, the Bahraini government has made a new arrangement to take care of migrant workers, including Nepalis.

So far, Bahrain has witnessed a total of 3,040 coronavirus cases. Eight people have died so far in Bahrain.
