Coronavirus cases in India cross 33,000-mark



NEW DELHI: The death toll due to coronavirus pandemic in India rose of 1,075 with COVID-19 cases cross the 33,000-mark so far.

According to India’s Union Health Ministry, the number of Covid-19 cases stood at 24,162. Some 8,372 people have recovered.

The total number of cases also includes around 111 foreign nationals.

Maharashtra has the highest number of confirmed cases with 9,915 infections, followed by Gujarat with 4,082.
