1,158 held for defying lockdown as of 8 am today



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 1,158 people on the charge of defying lockdown as of 8 am today.

According to police, 990 among those arrested are men while the remaining are women.

Meanwhile, a total of 153 vehicles have been taken under control.

With the lockdown in place, the major roads have been deserted while a few activities can be seen on the inner roads of the capital.

Police have urged one and all not to come of their houses and maintain high security alert during the lockdown.
