Routes around Dashrath Stadium to be affected today

KATHMANDU: Metropolitan Traffic Police Division has urged all the concerned to take alternative routes since a rally is taking place from Thamel to Dasharath Stadium today afternoon.

The routes along Thapathali, Tripureshwor, Kalimati, Shahid Gate, Jamal, Keshar Mahal areas will be affected due to the rally to be organized to mark the beginning of the much-awaited Visit Nepal Year 2020.

An arrangement has been made to park vehicles at Tundikhel in front of Kathmandu Mall, according to traffic police office.

Similarly, those seeking information regarding traffic condition can dial at 103 or tune to Metro Traffic FM 95.5 MHZ, requested the traffic police office.

The much-hyped-and-awaited VNY 2020 is being organized amid a special program today. President Bidya Bhandari is inaugurating the program at 4 pm while Prime Minister KP Oli will deliver a special address to a huge gathering participated by tourism ministers from 10 countries including India and China.

Delegates and diplomats from various countries will participate in the program while around 50 media representatives from South Asia, Middle East and Europe will be covering the event.
