Earlier the temple was rescheduled to be inaugurated on April 24. However, the lockdown imposed to curb the coronavirus pandemic disturbed the schedule then.

The reconstructed Balgopaleshwor Temple has got few changes.

The temple, formerly constructed in Granthakut or Shikar Style, was changed to Gumbaz style after the earthquake of 1934.
