In pics: Spire installed on Balgopaleshwor Temple



KATHMANDU: A spire was installed on Balgopaleshwor Temple of Ranipokhari on Thursday. The spire has been gold-plated with 32.73 tolas of gold.

Earlier the temple was rescheduled to be inaugurated on April 24. However, the lockdown imposed to curb the coronavirus pandemic disturbed the schedule then.

The reconstructed Balgopaleshwor Temple has got few changes.

The temple, formerly constructed in Granthakut or Shikar Style, was changed to Gumbaz style after the earthquake of 1934.

The temple has regained its former style Shikhar after the earthquake of 2015.
