Province 2 records four more COVID-19 deaths



JANAKPUR: The death toll from the coronavirus in Province 2 has reached 94 after four more deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

According to Province 2 Heath Directorate, two men from Parsa, one from Bara and one from Siraha succumbed to the pandemic.

Two men aged 53 and 60 years from Parsa died of the coronavirus.

Similarly, a 60-year-old man from Kolhavi Municipality of Bara and a 65-year-old man from Mirchaiya Municipality-6 of Siraha also died due to the coronavirus infection, according to the Ministry of Social Development.

A total of 94 people including 16 women and 78 men have died from the infection in the province so far.

According to the ministry, the highest number of 35 deaths has been reported in Parsa, 14 in Bara, 12 in Dhanusha, 10 in Mahottari, eight in Siraha, six in Saptari, five in Rautahat and three in Sarlahi.

The national COVID-19 death toll stands at 239.
