Govt to provide grants to hospitals treating COVOD-19 patients

KATHMANDU: The government said it will provide grants to hospitals treating Covid-19 patients across the country.

The Ministry of Health and Education has already initiated preparations to provide the hospitals Rs 200 to Rs 15,000 per day for each patient being treated.

According to Dr Guna Raj Lohani, the chief of the Policy Planning and Monitoring Section of the ministry, they have already forwarded a proposal to the Council of Ministers in this regard.

According to the proposal, while Rs 200 will be provided for the treatment of an infected person with no symptoms for one day, Rs 2,000 will be provided for the treatment of a person with no symptoms isolated at an isolation center.
