28 new coronavirus cases in Gandaki Pradesh, tally hits 994

KATHMANDU: New 28 coronavirus cases have been reported in six districts of Gandaki Pradesh on Wednesday morning.

According to a press note issued by the Ministry for Social Development of Gandaki Pradesh, the newly infected are 12 from Nawalparasi East, three each from Gorkha and Baglung, one each from Kaski and Tanahun and eight from Syangja.

The new cases were confirmed during tests at Pokhara Academy of Heath Sciences and National Public Health Laboratory, Kathmandu and Bharatpur Hospital, Chitwan.

Preparations are underway to keep the infected in isolations of their respective districts, said Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, the Spokesperson for COVID-19 Control and Prevention Program of Gandaki Pradesh.

With this, the number of coronavirus infection cases has reached 994 in Gandaki Pradesh.
