NSU to launch campaign on education and learning

KATHMANDU: Nepali Student Union (NSU), a student wing of Nepali Congress (NC), is launching a nationwide campaign ‘Study in homes, learning in settlement’.

NSU President Rajib Dhungana, in a statement said, the drive would be put in place for advancing student-focused alternative learning.

The NSU said it will also monitor the situation of quarantines, availability of PCR tests and the state of treatment service delivered by the hospitals.

Dhungana said the free textbooks meant for students of community schools would be handed to the students reaching out their homes.

Likewise, NSU general secretary Deepak Bhattarai said NSU would monitor the private boarding schools to stop charging fee of the period when the educational institutions remained closed.

He made it clear that the NSU has made a circular to all the districts to organize blood donation and sapling plantation across the country on July 2 to mark the 96th birth anniversary of the NC’s former President Girija Prasad Koirala.
