Bomb goes off in Nuwakot; vehicles set ablaze in Makwanpur

KATHMANDU: Nepal Community Party (NCP) led by Netra Bikram Chand detonated a bomb in the ward office of Kakani Rural Municipality-1. Official documents, computer among others were damaged in the explosion.

Likewise, Biplav cadres have torched two vehicles in Makwanpur district on Wednesday.

According to SP Mukesh Singh of District Police Office, Makwanpur, Biplav cadres set a fire to a truck, Ba 5 Kha 1739, at Jyamire along the Hetauda-Narayangadh road section and a car, Ba 14 Cha 8234, along Fakhel-Humane road section this morning. The car was fully damaged in the arson attack while the truck has sustained partial damages.

Biplav outfit has called a bandh in Bagmati and Narayani zones and Ramechhap and Dolakha districts, demanding release of Maila Lama, in-charge of Kathmandu Valley, on Wednesday.

However, the bandh has minor impact in the Kathmandu Valley.
