Philippines sends refuse back to Canada

MANILA: Philippines has sent tons of rubbish back to Canada saying the refuse was falsely labeled as recycling plastics. Philippines had received the rubbish from Canada in 2014.

Over 69 garbage-loaded containers in a cargo vessel set sail from Subic Bay, north of Manila  to Vancouver, the city of Canada following a weeks-long diplomatic spat.  Meanwhile, Canada has agreed to cover the full cost of its transfer and disposal.

The roughly 1,500 tons of repatriated rubbish will be shipped to the Canadian city of Vancouver, arriving before the end of June, to be treated at a waste-to-energy facility there.
