Kathmandu-Rumjatar-Biratnagar flight from today



KATHMANDU Regular flights from Kathmandu-Rumjatar-Biratnagar would come into operation every Friday from today.

Preparation has been made to resume the Rumjatar airport, closed for the past three years, after linking it with Kathmandu and Biratnagar, said member of State-1 assembly, Ambir Babu Gurung. He said that it would be easier in movement of people of this area along with tourism promotion once Rumjatar airport comes into operation in regular manner.

Regional Manager of Nepal Airlines Corporation, Narayan Puri, said that the Corporation has made preparation to make flight at Rumjatar every Friday. Puri added that the Corporation has set a plan to make flights in other days too after coordinating with local government and administration viewing the crowd of passengers in near future.
