Nepse up 5.58 points after budget



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) witnessed a transaction of Rs 1,528,151,000 in the share market following the issuance of budget for the fiscal year 2019/20.

The benchmark index went up by 5.58 points to settle at 1319.47 points on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

However, this improvement is not proportionate with the share-market policies what Finance Minister assured in the budget on Wednesday.

Similarly, the sensitive index that assesses bigger companies soared by 1.23 points. A total of 4,894,681 units of shares of 174 companies were sold.
