Ex-PM Chand apologizes to scooter rider for mishap



KATHMANDU: Former Minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand has apologized to the scooter rider hit by the security escort vehicle belonging to the Armed Police Force, media report said.

According to a report in Nagarik Daily, the former Prime Minister called the scooter rider Santosh Kunwar and his wife to his residence and expressed sadness over the incident. The report added that Chand said he was ready to bear treatment cost in case of any injury.

A video has been doing rounds in social media since yesterday showing a security escort vehicle escorting the former prime minister hitting a scooter. Despite the accident, the vehicle kept moving which has irked social media users.
