MAHENDRANAGAR: Mayor of Shailya Shikhar Municipality Amarsingh Dhami has been arrested from a dance bar based in Mahendranagar.
Mayor Dhami, who was elected from Nepali Congress, was arrested from Blue Dance Bar.
Police arrested few people along with Dhami after they went rowdy under the influence of alcohol in the dance bar. A joint police squad from ward police office, Mahendranagar and District Police Office, Kanchanpur arrested them.
According to police Dhami was arrested along with some girls.
Police had reached the incident site after the bar girls complained of misdemeanor against them.
However, Mayor Dhami dismissed the media reports saying that he was not involved in the incident.
