Thai King expels four officials

BANGKOK: King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand has fired four more officials, two palace announcements have said.

Two palace officials, working as bedroom guards, were fired for ‘extremely evil misconduct’ as well as ‘adultery’, international media reports have said.

The palace said it was a violation of a code of conduct for the courtiers.

Likewise, in another announcement, the palace fired two military officers for being ‘lax’ in their duty as palace guards. The palace has also alleged them of ‘misbehaving unbecomingly of their ranks and titles’.

Last week, the palace had dismissed six palace officials last week accusing them of ‘severe disciplinary misconduct’. (Agencies)
