RAJBIRAJ: Fire guts property worth Rs 300 thousand in Rajbiraj Property worth Rs 300 thousand was gutted by fire that started froma firecracker exploded in course of Tihar celebration here last night.
The fire broke out at the house of Sibesh Singh at Himalaya Tol, Rajbiraj municipality-8 at 7 pm on Tuesday, Shorav Yadav, a local said.
Singh’s entire house has been gutted in the disaster. The fire destroyed cash, goods, utensils and household articles worth around Rs 300 thousand, police said.
The fire was brought under control through the joint efforts of the locals and the police. It is said the fire engine did not arrive in time and hence the fire gutted the entire property.
