Police confiscate huge cache of explosives in Jhapa

JHAPA: Police have confiscated a huge cache of explosives belonging to the outlawed ‘Biplav’-led outfit stored in a house in Jhapa district.

The explosives were stored in the house of Lekhnath Mishra, 60, at Arjundhara Municipality-1 of the district, police have said.

Police confiscated the arms and ammunition, including over 25 kilos of explosive substances in a raid.

The police could seize the explosives after the arrest of Jhapa district secretary Prabin Mishra and others two weeks ago. They had stored the explosives in the house.
