PM leaves for New Delhi to attend Modi’s swearing-in ceremony



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli left for New Delhi on Thursday to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi, who starts his second term as India’s prime minister after a resounding victory in the recently concluded parliamentary elections.

PM Oli is accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya. Prime Minister Oli is one of the VVIP guests, out of eight VVIP guests from neighboring countries, invited by the Indian government in the swearing-in ceremony.

Bharatiya Janata Party’s leader Modi is taking the oath of office and secrecy for his second term as PM of India today evening.

The venue for the swearing-in is Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
