CIAA files graft case against immigration officer



KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a graft case against immigration officer Ramakanta Aryal of Immigration Office at Tribhuvan International Airport.

The anti-graft body filed the case at Special Court against Aryal for amassing properties worth Rs 20.6 million illegally after he failed to produce credible sources of his properties.

CIAA has demanded Rs 20.6 million in fine, an equal amount of property be confiscated and a jail term in the case.
