House committee endorses IT Bill

KATHMANDU: The Development and Technology Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Sunday passed the controversial Information Technology Bill with majority votes.

Lawmakers of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) voted in favor of the bill while the members of the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) protested.

The bill will be taken forward to the full House for endorsement for discussion.
