NCP decides to name Province-3 Bagmati

KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has decided to name Province-3 Bagmati Province.

A Secretariat meeting of the party held at prime minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Sunday morning also decided to pick Hetauda as the permanent capital of the province.

“An agreement has been reached to name Province-3 Bagmati Province. A decision has been made to direct the State committee and State Assembly Parliamentary Party to that end,” said a Secretariat member.

The Province government had failed to fix its name and capital even after two years of its formation.
