Nepali delegation on an observation visit to India

KATHMANDU: A 12-Member delegation led by Attorney General of Nepal, comprising senior attorneys from both Federal Government and Seven Provincial Governments are currently on a 7-day observation visit to India, from 25-31 August 2019.

The objective of the visit is to study the relationship between the Central and State judicial systems in India, including the relationship between Attorney General of India and the Advocates General of the States, according to the Embassy of India in Kathmandu.

As part of the visit, the delegation visited the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court and attended a one-day workshop at Indian Law Institute, New Delhi.

The delegation is also visiting Gujarat from 28-30 August 2019 and interact with the Advocate General of Gujarat, visit High Court of Gujarat and attend a one-day workshop at Gujarat Forensic Sciences University (GFSU), Gandhinagar.

Nepal’s Attorney General, Agni Kharel met his Indian counterpart on 27 August and discussed issues of mutual interest, the statement said.
