KATHMANDU: While railway connectivity has been the talk of the town in Nepal, China also wants to connect the two countries with a railway at the earliest, a report in Annapurna daily said.
Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Wu Jianghao said, “We are anxious to build railway into the southern part of Nepal.”
He informed that the Chinese government is making a study on railway connectivity into Nepal after holding a bilateral talks.
“If both the countries want it to happen, railway connectivity is not a big problem. Bilateral cooperation is a win-win situation. We are focused on the interest of the Nepali people,” he said.
