45 held for gambling in Nawalparasai



KAWASOTI: A squad from the District Police Office, Nawalparasai East last night arrested 28 people for gambling.

According to the office, the team caught them red-handed from the Devchuli Party Place at Daldale of Devchuli municipality-13.

Police also confiscated Rs 580 thousand from them and they all have been kept at the District Police Office for further actions.

Similarly, 17 people were arrested from a private house at Gulmi Durbar rural municipality-7 last night on the charge of gambling.

They were taken under control from the house of Lila Singh Adhikari and police seized Rs 282 thousand from them, confirmed Deputy Superintendent of Police Meen Bahadur Ghale. They will face a trial under the existing laws.
