Eight gamblers held in Dang



DANG: Police have arrested eight gamblers along with Rs 678,000 and other paraphernalia in the district.

Acting on a tip-off, a squad of police deployed from District Police Office, Dang held eight individuals including 48-year-old Ratna Prasad Shrestha, Prakash Khadka, Karna Bahadur Budhathoki, and Amar Bahadur Tamang.

Police have seized 16 packs of cards, cowries among others. Police said they have filed a case against them in line with the National Civil (Code) Act 2017.
