Landslide obstructs Karnali Highway

KHALANGA: A landslide triggered by incessant rainfall have obstructed the Karnali Highway.

Transportation has been disrupted by a landslide near the Kale stream along the Kalikot section of the Highway. Authorities have urged passengers to cancel their trips via the route.

Chief District Officer of Kalikot, Chandra Bahadur Karki, informed that the landslide has damaged the road badly. According to him, it could take some time to restore the road.

Containers and buses en route to Kalikot via Surkhet and Nepalgunj have been stranded.
