NA endorses Evidence Bill 2075

KATHMANDU: The National Assembly (NA) on Sunday endorsed the Evidence Bill (Second Amendment), 2075.

A meeting of the NA unanimously passed the bill presented by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Bhanubhakta Dhakal.

Earlier, a meeting of the parliamentary Legislation Committee had unanimously endorsed the proposal seeking discussion on the bill in the parliament.

Meanwhile, the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee of the National Assembly presented its report in today’s meeting of the NA.

Chairperson of the Committee Tara Devi Bhatta informed that interactions were held in each province to prepare the report. She also said they conducted field visits to Bheri Babai Diversion Multi-Purpose Project, Gautam Buddha and Pokhara International Airports, and Barkpak of Gorkha.

The next meeting of the NA has been scheduled on August 1.
