DOTI: An unidentified group has set the office of ward no. 7 of Shikhar Municipality in the district on fire on Saturday night.

The office housed in a concrete building at Bairkot was put on fire at around 9:00 pm Saturday, SP Bidhya Nanda Majhi at the District Police Office said.

All furniture, official documents and other goods inside the office were gutted. An investigation has been launched to find those responsible, said Majhi. Police also suspect the Biplav group of being behind the incident.

This is the third ward office after Badikedar and Jaroyal to be set on fire by the group that is yet to be known.
