T20 WC Asia Finals: Singapore sets 192 runs target for Nepal

KATHMANDU: Singapore has posted 192 runs target for Nepal in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Finals underway in Singapore on Sunday.

Tim David top-scored at 77 runs off 43 balls hitting eight fours and three sixes to take Singapore to 191 runs in stipulated 20 overs losing six wickets. Rohan Rangarajan and Manpreet Singh of Singapore contributed 49 and 42 runs respectively for their team.

Abinash Bohara of Nepal grabbed four wickets in his kitty as Karan KC took two wickets.

Singapore had won the toss and elected to bat first.

One qualification spot for the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier is up for grabs for the side that finishes top of the standings.

The winning nation will become one of 14 teams to play in the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier in the United Arab Emirates in October and November 2019, with the chance to qualify for the ICC T20 Men’s World Cup in Australia.
