One drowns in swimming pool



CHITWAN: A man has drowned in a swimming pool here on Saturday night.

He has been identified as Chanda Bahadur Thapa, 48, of Narayanthan in ward no. 4 of Budanilakantha Municipality, Kathmandu.

According to the District Police Office, Thapa was on a tour of Chitwan when he drowned while swimming at the pool of the Hotel Rain Forest in Sauraha.

Thapa, who fell unconscious in the pool, died during treatment at Chitwan Medical College, police said. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
